Roofing
Need a new roof? We can help, we have our own 100% company employed certified crews backed by the best warranty in the business.
Things to consider when choosing the right company to replace your roof.
Common issues we see in market place today with average Roofing Companies:
- Lower limits of coverage (risky)
- Can't cover project if damage occurs
- Not having torch insurance but general roof insurance only (risky)
- Homeowner on the hook
- Have roof cleaning policy not actually roofing insurance (risky)
- Homeowner on the hook
- Classified as remodeler and not roofer
- Limited # of roofs
- Lack of insurance
- Homeowner on the hook
- Classify as general contractor and avoid the cost for roofing
- Company not insured for roofing as roofing contractor
- Homeowner on the hook
- Pay guys cash under table and not claim working on site (risky)
- What if worker gets hurt?
- Homeowner on the hook
- Working out of their garage or back of their pickup.
- It's a very common occurrence we see many not having a physical location.
- It's very difficult to receive service after the sale if needed.
- If you call them you reach a cell phone if they are still in business.
- We see the majority with poor response time or lack of desire to fix the problem.
- Many other companies out there are not installing the products correctly which will void your warrantee.
- Many companies are not installing the products per code requirements.
- This includes proper ventilation. Which if not done, can cause mold, and other very serious issues?
- Many companies are using or only offering a felt based underlayment and don't understand the huge benefits of using a synthetic underlayment.
- Most companies are not flashing correctly around chimneys or skylights.
- Most companies only offer ice and water shield as option and don't realize its code.
We have all our own company employed English speaking installers on your job.
It's well known in this industry most companies sub out the work to the lowest bidder and non English speaking crews so you not only end up with an incorrectly installed roof, but a much greater chance of leak issues. If you do need service it is extremely difficult to get any problems resolved. Communication is the key to having a great job.
All our installers have gone thru manufacture training and are certified.
When work is subcontracted out the subcontracting company would have to be certified on your job and again with most 90% being non English speaking they cannot have taken the certification testing. We have on our staff, roofers with over 20 years of experience and 40,000 hours of experience working on your roof. We average 20-25 roofs a month.
We follow building codes.
Most subcontractors that are used for roofing have no idea that certain items like ice and water house wrap must be used on specific areas on your roof and that certain underlayment's are not to be used as they do not meet code. We also use vented ridge to give your home a cleaner look and meet ventilation codes. Meeting code is something that is not listed as an optional item.
We have the best documented guarantee in the business.
On top of the manufactures guarantee we offer a 10 year 100% parts and labor guarantee. We are also certified so we can even give you a backed up parts and labor guarantee from the manufacture because they know we know roofs and how to install them correctly.
Thanks again for this opportunity to earn your business.

Makings Of A Roof Shingle
Roof Information
The life expectancy of asphalt shingles is based on the performance of three components, and their ability to resist weathering. Made from petroleum, asphalt contains oils that make asphalt shingles easy to work with and effective at protecting your roof and home. As time goes on, these oils come to the surface and are weathered away by the elements. It's this weathering process that ages a shingle.
Reinforcement: Asphalt shingles start out with either an asphalt-saturated organic felt, or a fiberglass mat. This reinforcement is the structural base of the shingle, to which the other raw materials (asphalt and granules) are applied. In order for asphalt shingles to provide protection, the reinforcement must resist tearing, warping and shrinkage when applied on stable, well ventilated decks.
Asphalt: During shingle manufacturing, the reinforcement is coated with asphalt to provide the water-resistant layer that protects the felt and your roof from the elements. The thickness of this layer of asphalt determines the weight of the shingle. Many believe that the heavier the shingle the greater the protection offered to your roof and home. This factor is only one of many that determines the life expectancy of your roof.
Granules: A layer of granules is pressed into the surface of the asphalt. The granules protect the layer of asphalt from the ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
There are two types of asphalt shingles. Those that are made with a saturated organic felt base and those that are made using a fiberglass mat. pros and cons. The true measure of quality is how well they are manufactured. There are some shingle manufacturers who spend a great deal of their efforts marketing their shingles. Consequently, they've become baseline or "minimum specification" producers. We carry only products focused onĀ the quality of its products, putting great effort into producing the best shingle possible. Our products exceed the specifications for a particular shingle as a matter of course.
Organic-based and fiberglass-based shingles are made with the highest quality raw materials and each type of shingle will perform well. The primary differences are the convenience in handling, and the Fire Rating that these shingles can achieve as part of a complete roofing system. The organic-based shingle may be easier to install when the temperature is warmer or cooler than normal. It may also hide more errors in application technique and construction flaws. Organic shingles carry a Class "C" Fire Rating.
The fiberglass-based shingle may be very pliable during hot weather, and not pliable enough during cooler weather. Fiberglass shingles require more exacting techniques during application; and carry a Class "A" Fire Rating when installed with an approved underlayment. Each shingle type has unique characteristics. Your decision to use one or the other should be made based upon the type of job and your comfort level using the product. Normally, the heavier the shingle, the more asphalt it has and the longer it will last.
Styles
We carry three styles of asphalt shingles.
The first is called an Architectural Laminated Style. These include Crowne Slate, RoofShake and the Cambridge series shingles. Our Architectural Style shingles are composed of two pieces of asphalt shingle material laminated together to form one solid piece. The bottom piece, known as the shim, provides the base of the shingle as well as a contrast in color. The top piece of the asphalt shingle, sometimes called the dragon tooth, provides the depth as well as further contrast in color. These shingles typically weigh approximately 240 lb./sq. to over 300 lb./sq. They are usually more aesthetically pleasing than traditional 3-Tab shingles. Their Limited Warranties range from 30 years to Limited Lifetime. If algae discoloration is a concern, consider our Crowne Slate, Cambridge 50 AR or Cambridge 30 AR shingles. These shingles feature an algae resistant system with a Limited Algae Resistant Warranty. The style and appearance of Architectural shingles have gained in popularity and have become the most requested style in many markets.
The second style of asphalt shingle we carry is known as the Designer Style Shingles. These asphalt shingles are made of a single strip construction with interesting features or shapes. Our Armourshake premium fiberglass-based asphalt shingles which we carry provides a dimensional thickness that enhances the rough-hewn, random-cut appearance, texture and profile of classic wood shakes. This product carries a lifetime guarantee and the weight is approximately 360 lb./sq.
The third category of asphalt shingles we carry is traditional 3-Tab Style Shingles. This style has been out for over fifty years in the industry and today is more commonly used as starter when installing a new roof. The approximate weight ranges from a low of 225 lb/sq. to a high of 240 lb./sq to a high of 240 lb./sq.
